Peoplestown Neighborhood Association is the local community association for residents (homeowners and renters), businesses and organizations located in the Peoplestown neighborhood. Peoplestown is located just south of Downtown Atlanta from Ormond Avenue south to the Atlanta Beltline and from Hill Street west to the Downtown Connector. The neighborhood is a blend of legacy residents and new residents - all committed to making our part of Atlanta one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Peoplestown is home to DH Stanton Park, Four Corners Park, Emmaus House, Peoples Town Coffee, Barack and Michelle Obama Academy, and, the soon to open, Terminal South Food Hall.
Connectivity makes Peoplestown a great neighborhood with easy access to the Downtown Connector (I-75/I-85) and I-20. A new MARTA Bus Rapid Transit line is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2026. Additionally, construction is underway on Segment 2 and 3 of the Atlanta Beltline which will connect Peoplestown to the already completed sections on the Westside and Eastern Trails of the city.
There is no fee to be a member of our organization and we welcome all stakeholders to be involved.
Peoplestown Neighborhood Association meets on the 3rd Wednesday each month at 7:00pm.
Visit our EVENTS page to learn more about our monthly meeting.
MARTA Rapid Summerhill will provide a 5-mile roundtrip route that connects Peoplestown and the Atlanta Beltline to Downtown Atlanta with fast, frequent premium transit service. Connections to MARTA’s heavy rail system will be provided at Five Points, Georgia State, and Garnett stations.
Over the last decade, the City of Atlanta Watershed Management department used imminent domain laws to acquire an entire city block full of long term residents of Peoplestown. The city continues to push through this project with little input of concern of neighbors.
